I congratulate you on your progress and your understanding of the effects that "steep/narrow" and "wide/shallow" can have on your impact. You have certainly hit upon a narrowing element in a downcock during the downswing. It is one that Hogan employed, but I believe to his detriment. He eventually did less of it later in his carrer. I am not infavor of it because of two reasons; it adds a slight element of timing to the swing and it adds too much hand action to the swing. I much more favor a solution to your problem that you will find in these forums about keeping the arms back (upper left arm against the chest and the right elbow up and behind you) during the downswing and turning your upper body harder to the left until the swing is directed more to the left. You are too much in-to-out and turning and swinging more left will bring the bottom of the swing forward and make it more in-to-in.
